The House

Scent is the oldest
form of memory

Ostara began as a private practice — blending raw naturals for family and close friends. In 2019, after a decade of sourcing and study, we released our first four fragrances to the public. That number has not changed.

We source directly from distillers and cultivators in Grasse, Madagascar, Bulgaria, and Haiti. Every batch is blended, bottled, and labeled by hand in our Chicago studio.

“We make fragrances we would wear ourselves — and nothing else.”

— Ostara, Est. 2019

Materials & Process

The Craft

Sourcing

Natural aromatics sourced direct from distillers in France, Bulgaria, Madagascar, and Haiti. No synthetic substitutes.

Blending

Each formula is blended by hand in small quantities. Exact ratios are never disclosed — they live in our notebooks.

Maceration

Fully macerated for a minimum of eight weeks before bottling. No shortcuts. The time is part of the formula.

Bottling

Hand-filled into hand-labeled 50ml bottles. Every bottle is numbered. Batches are limited and seasonal.

Obtain
